Details on image explained in post.

The Minneapolis College Choir invites you to our spring concert, Friday May 9th at 7:00 pm in the Whitney Fine Arts Theater, 1424 Yale Place, on the Minneapolis College campus in downtown Minneapolis.

This will be Liz Pauly’s last concert conducting the Minneapolis College Choir. After 28 years, she is handing her baton to the next generation of choral conductors. Alumni and friends of the choir will be joining the program.

Among the pieces to be performed will be Stardust, B.E. Boykin’s moving response to the murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and the victims of the Mother Emmanuel shooting, Carlos Guastavino’s gorgeous Se Equivocó la Paloma, and Sten Källmen’s haunting setting of the Haitian song Fré O. The program will be accompanied by Joel Sundseth on piano and Evan Espinoza Robles on percussion.

Finally, Liz would like to share that she is not retiring – You will still see her on campus, teaching music courses and continuing to support faculty with online teaching and learning.
