No auditions are required for the College Choir.

Auditions for Vocal Ensemble are held during the first week of classes in F2405 (Dr. Pauly’s office). Please plan to audition during regularly scheduled office hours, which are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays  8:30 –9:30.  If none of these times work for you, auditions can also be made by appointment by contacting the director.

No preparation is required for the audition, although warming up ahead of time is highly recommended. Your vocal range, sight-reading*, ability to hear and sing back musical patterns (aural memory), and general musicianship skills will be assessed at the audition. You do not need to prepare a song. If you have a few years of experience singing with a high school choir, auditions will not be difficult.

Singers wishing to join the Vocal Ensemble should register for the course, and begin attending as soon as classes start to meet, regardless of whether they have had the chance to audition.

Auditions are held in Dr. Liz Pauly’s office, F2405.

For more information, please contact the director. See the Contact link on the top navigation bar.

*Note: while sight-reading is a highly valued skill, it is not required for membership in this choir if all other skills are strong.
